New emergency response software distributes real-time ‘reverse 911’ notifications directly to user desktops
HOUSTON, TX, November 6, 2007
Presensoft™ Inc., a leading provider of security solutions for public instant messaging (IM) communications, today announced the launch of Presensoft Instant Response, a new product designed to aid in emergency alert notification, as a direct-to-desktop application.

Emergency ‘reverse 911’ systems are currently being implemented in numerous communities and schools, but were previously limited to text messaging, phone calls, e-mails, and paging. Presensoft Instant Response is the first and only emergency management system designed for instant messaging, and includes a delay-free spam bypassing feature that ensures instant delivery of urgent notifications. Alerts can also be authenticated with Presensoft IM Caller ID to ensure that the right message is sent to the right user, at the right time.

Presensoft Instant Response is ideal for business, faith-based organizations, and schools, where emergency response plans are currently under scrutiny in the aftermath of the massacre at Virginia Tech. University administration at Virginia Tech came under harsh criticism last April, when the attempt to alert students of the shootings via email proved ineffective.

Presensoft IM Caller ID Technology Reduces Threat of AOL Instant Message Security Holes in the Workplace

Presensoft™ IM Caller ID, a breakthrough instant messaging (IM) security solution introduced by Presensoft last week would protect enterprises against security holes like those recently identified in several of America Online’s (AOLs) popular IM platforms. In an advisory issued this week, researchers at Core Security Technologies identified security vulnerabilities in several versions of AOL Instant Messaging software: AIM 6.1, AIM 6.2 beta, AIM Pro and AIM Lite. The researchers said that a flaw in the underlying software code exposes workstations and users to potential high-risk attacks. AOL maintains that it currently filters IM traffic to eliminate the threat of potential attacks, but the researchers believe that users remain vulnerable to security breeches until the software code is fixed.

Presensoft notifies parents on child online protection

With the US Federal Judge ruling a 1998 law called Child Online Protection Act as `unconstitutional’, it has become vital for parents to ensure children are protected from online predators with child protection technology.

Presensoft Inc notifies companies of new E-discovery rules
HOUSTON, TX, January 22, 2007
With the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure for electronic storage in effect from December 1, 2006, the new ruling makes it clear that all electronic information, including Instant Messaging, needs to be managed and archived in case of a legal proceeding.

The new ruling, approved by the Supreme Court, requires all US companies and other entities involved in federal litigation to produce ‘electronically stored information’ as part of the discovery process, when evidence is shared by both sides before a trial. IM conversations are included in the new ruling and moving forward companies must be able to show what IM traffic they have and where it is stored.

Presensoft Inc, a leading provider of security solutions for public instant messaging communications, would like to bring to the customers notice that organizations that cannot retrieve their employees’ instant messages for legal discovery in a reasonable period run the risk of fines and legal actions.
